Job summary

Cosmo 1:1 is hiring experienced educators to tutor ESL students online. You set a flexible, consistent schedule and deliver 50‑minute one‑on‑one lessons using the Cosmo curriculum.

As an independent contractor, you’ll meet at designated times, provide personalised instruction, and communicate professionally with parents and Cosmo staff. A bachelor’s degree and 3 years of teaching experience are required; TEFL preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• 3 years of experience teaching grades K-12 ELA, ESL, or EFL.
• Experience with K-12 ELA standards.
• TEFL certificate preferred but not required.
• Fast and reliable internet connection with Windows or Mac PC.
• Able to commit to a minimum of 6 months with Cosmo 1:1.
• Located in the United States or Canada.
• Available 6-9 AM EST Mon–Fri or weekends; minimum 20 hours weekly.
• Access to a private quiet location.
• Passion for helping students learn.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized 1 on 1 instruction for your students.
• Update your availability in the Cosmo App in a timely manner.
• Prepare appropriate lesson materials for the student's age and ability.
• Submit Class Feedback after each lesson.
• Communicate with parents and students in a professional manner.
• Attend all classes on time and in a professional setting.
• Communicate with Cosmo staff.
