Job summary

Sysco is seeking a skilled fleet maintenance technician to perform preventive inspections and repairs on vehicles and equipment. You will conduct annual inspections, diagnose issues, and complete repairs to ensure safety and reliability across the fleet.

Experience with engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and welding is required. Ability to work non-traditional hours and lift heavy loads is expected; OT may be available.

Qualifications

• Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2-year school + 1 year experience or 3 years fleet maintenance experience.
• ASE certifications (preferred, not required).
• 609 HVAC Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment within planned time tolerances to maximize safety, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Perform Annual inspections on all fleet vehicles including tractors, trailers, and other equipment in accordance with regulations.
• Perform quality maintenance and repairs to manufacturer specifications across engines, transmissions, drivetrains, electrical, brake, HVAC, and lift-gate systems.
• Address Driver Vehicle Inspection Report write-ups promptly and efficiently.
• Learn Sysco computer programs and demonstrate proficiency in electrical meter testing.
