Job summary

Sysco is seeking a Fleet Technician 2 to assist in providing safe, reliable vehicles through inspections, preventive maintenance, and timely repairs. You will learn diagnosis and repair tasks across engines, transmissions, and electrical systems, while recording work in the SAP-based system and adhering to safety standards.

The role emphasizes collaboration with management to schedule PMs, reduce downtime, and improve fleet reliability for on-road operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training from 2-year program.
• Brake Inspector Certification and ASE Certification preferred.
• Knowledge of computer-based diagnostic software for OEM components.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles to maximize safety and reliability.
• Diagnose and repair defects on engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Document work on Work Orders using standard format and company systems.
• Collaborate with management to plan maintenance schedules and prioritize repairs.
