Job summary

Sysco Denver is seeking a skilled fleet technician to perform preventive maintenance and expert diagnostics on a wide range of company vehicles and equipment. You will diagnose, repair, and document work per manufacturer specifications, with a focus on safety and reliability.

The role requires technical training in heavy- and medium-duty trucks, ASE/inspector certifications when possible, and the ability to work with Sysco’s computer programs and diagnostic tools.

Qualifications

• 2-year school and 1 year of experience or 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair.
• Current and valid driver’s license.
• Annual Inspector Certification, Brake Inspector Certification, ASE certifications (preferred, not required).
• 609 HVAC Certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles within planned time tolerances to maximize safety, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Perform FAI/CVI inspections on all fleet vehicles as per regulations.
• Perform quality preventive maintenance inspections on tractors, trailers, lift-gates, and other equipment.
• Perform quality maintenance repairs to maximize safety and reliability of all fleet vehicles.
• Address Driver Vehicle Inspection Report write-ups timely and efficiently.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs to manufacturer specifications (engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, HVAC, and more).
• Document all work performed on work orders and learn Sysco computer programs.
• Proficient in electrical meter testing and in the use of diagnostic software.
