Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Fleet Support Engineer for a client leading in autonomous vehicle technology in San Francisco, CA. You will serve as the primary contact for real-time sensor escalations and work with engineering to improve fleet reliability.

You will perform root cause analysis from logs, develop and maintain troubleshooting guides, and validate new sensor components such as LiDAR, radar, and cameras. A strong problem-solving mindset and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in transportation, aerospace, or autonomous vehicles focusing on perception systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• Experience with low/high voltage circuits, UDS, and safe troubleshooting.
• Understanding of hardware/software system architecture and protocols.
• Ability to read schematics and connector pinouts.

Our client, a leader in autonomous vehicle technology and transportation solutions, is seeking a Fleet Support Engineer to join their team. As a Fleet Support Engineer, you will be part of the Vehicle Development department supporting operational uptime and fleet reliability. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, collaborative spirit, and meticulous attention to detail, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Fleet Support Engineer

Location: San Francisco, CA

Pay Range: $83/hour + Benefits

What's the Job?

• Serve as the primary point of contact for real-time escalations related to sensor issues within the fleet.
• Conduct detailed root cause analysis through log reviews to identify and resolve fleet problems.
• Develop, update, and maintain troubleshooting guides for technicians, incorporating new fault diagnoses and solutions.
• Perform hardware bring-up and validation procedures for new sensor components such as LiDAR, radar, and cameras.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance tooling, improve issue detection, and implement preventative measures across the fleet.

What's Needed?

• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in transportation, aerospace, or autonomous vehicle sectors, focusing on perception systems and sensors.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• Experience with low/high voltage circuits, UDS, and safe troubleshooting practices.
• Understanding of hardware and software system architecture, including communication protocols in an operational setting.
• Ability to interpret schematics, electrical diagrams, and connector pinouts effectively.
