Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Sales Support Consultant to join the Equipment Management Support team. You will develop maintenance and repair strategies, analyze fleet data, and support contract execution to improve customer outcomes, fleet performance, and equipment lifecycle value.

This role requires collaboration with commercial, operations, and dealer teams and a focus on continuous improvement. The position is based onsite in Peoria, IL, with up to 25% travel and relocation assistance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Experience in Caterpillar dealer-facing or customer-facing roles.
• Knowledge of Caterpillar service systems, tools, and support processes.
• Experience developing maintenance and repair (M&R) rates and maintenance strategies.
• Understanding of Caterpillar Mining Equipment Management practices.
• Experience with tools such as Service Option Collaborator, Cat Calculator, SIS and AMT.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Demonstrates focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Develop maintenance and repair operational strategies for Cat Solutions & Services customers and agreements.
• Analyze fleet and maintenance data to support customer-specific equipment management strategies and equipment life cycle decisions.
• Monitor Cat Solutions & Services agreements performance and provide recommendations to improve contract health, profitability, and customer value.
• Support rebuilds, repair, and replacement planning through data-driven analysis and equipment management best practices.
• Evaluate component life strategies and provide recommendations based on machine application and operating conditions.
• Collaborate with commercial, operations, and dealer teams to support contract review audits, and service agreement development.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance process efficiency and business performance.
