Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing in Fontana, CA is seeking a Customer Service Coordinator who will work with customers to schedule preventative maintenance, coordinate outside repairs, and manage the shop work plan to keep trucks on the road.

You will develop daily/weekly workforce plans, communicate maintenance updates, ensure parts availability, and uphold safety policies while delivering excellent service. The role requires hands-on mechanical experience and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 2 years of customer service experience required.
• 1 year of hands on mechanical experience required.
• 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• 2 years of service department administration preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates Degree, Technical School Degree, or Bachelors Degree preferred.
• ASE certification preferred.
• Must understand DOT/OSHA safety policies and Penske safety practices.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential.
• Willingness to travel as necessary and pass background/drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Develop daily and weekly workforce plans to maximize customer service and productivity.
• Communicate with customers for maintenance updates and issues.
• Assure Penske Rental units are maintained and prepared for customers.
• Ensure parts are available for scheduled work.
• Hold vendors accountable for quality and schedule adherence.
• Provide excellent customer service to encourage repeat business.
• Maintain shop productivity by optimizing the work plan.
• Coordinate with district billing clerks as necessary.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
