Job summary

The City of Atlanta is seeking a skilled service liaison to coordinate between customers and service technicians for vehicle servicing and repairs. The role includes entering repair malfunctions into the service center system, drafting detailed instructions for technicians, and acting as the service receptionist during vehicle check-in and handover.

Responsibilities

• Ascertains automotive problems by listening to customer descriptions, inspects, test drives, checks maintenance records and schedules.
• Verifies warranty coverage by examining records and explaining provisions and exclusions.
• Develops estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor.
• Prepares repair work orders describing symptoms, problems, causes, repairs and services; opens WOs in the system.
• Maintains customer rapport by explaining repairs and estimated return times.
