Job summary

The Evans Network of Companies in the United States is seeking a Fleet Safety Compliance Specialist to serve as the primary Safety point of contact for an assigned group of independent owner-operator drivers. The role focuses on coaching, monitoring safety performance, and ensuring adherence to DOT/FMCSA and company requirements.

You will collaborate with internal teams to identify risks, address concerns, and support continuous improvement while maintaining records and driving overall safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience communicating performance concerns to drivers and customer partners.
• Experience coaching drivers on safety and compliance.
• Experience supporting drivers across multiple locations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
• Ability to learn and navigate multiple technology platforms and reporting systems.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and follow-up skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong attention to detail and record-keeping.
• Travel is required based on operational and customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Safety contact for an assigned group of independent owner-operator drivers
• Build trust-based relationships with drivers and promote accountability for safe driving
• Evaluate driver safety and compliance performance and recommend actions
• Determine coaching strategy and establish improvement expectations
• Recommend remedial training and corrective actions based on risk
• Apply Evans’ driver eligibility standards and advise on complex cases
• Maintain records in Motive, Driver 360, Luma, and GoToAssist
• Investigate safety matters and escalate when needed
• Analyze safety data and identify risk trends with corrective actions
• Provide guidance on regulatory requirements to internal stakeholders
• Participate in safety reviews and projects
• Exercise independent judgment within authority
• Perform other duties as assigned
