Job summary

State of Maine’s Central Fleet Services seeks a Fleet Operations Coordinator to guide fleets, authorize repairs, and manage vehicle assignments across agencies. You’ll handle registrations, invoicing, and cost analysis while coordinating with Risk Management for accidents.

The role involves learning advanced fleet technologies, telematics, and auction preparation, with opportunities for advancement within State government.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years experience in automotive service, including one year of administrative experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Excel.
• Ability to communicate clearly and write effectively.

Responsibilities

• Determines and authorizes repairs and maintenance of vehicles based on vehicle type to ensure proper and safe operation.
• Receives, prepares, documents, and registers vehicles in order to place them into service.
• Codes and approves payment of electronic payment vehicle charges with the state procurement card provider.
• Codes and approves payment of invoices to account for vehicle expenses.
• Reviews and analyzes vehicle costs and expenditures to determine disposition of each vehicle.
• Receives and examines accident reports to coordinate payment with Risk Management.
• Assigns vehicles to maximize usable life and tracks vehicle inventory.
