Middlesex County is seeking a Superintendent to lead the Division of Central Vehicle Maintenance, overseeing the operation, maintenance, and modernization of the county's fleet and fueling/EV charging infrastructure.

The role requires extensive experience in large fleet management, supervisory leadership, and coordination with county departments. The position emphasizes performance metrics, sustainability, and workforce development, with a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Ten (10) years of experience in operation, maintenance, and repair of a large fleet.
• At least five (5) years in a supervisory capacity.
• Experience managing a public sector fleet, a fleet management information system, a telematics program, or a fleet electrification program is preferred.
• A valid New Jersey driver's license; CDL desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and manage operation, maintenance, replacement, and modernization of the County fleet and fueling/EV charging infrastructure.
• Establish performance metrics and report against them.
• Lead workforce development and succession planning for the division.
• Coordinate with county departments and manage procurement and vendor relationships.
