Job summary

The University of Nevada, Reno is hiring a Fleet & Operations Assistant to support the NRES vehicle fleet on campus. The role focuses on reservations, vehicle prep, recordkeeping, and exceptional customer service for faculty, staff, and students.

This in‑person position is based in Fleischmann Agriculture Building and reports to the NRES NSHE Specialist, offering 10–15 hours weekly at $16.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Pass a background check.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office and data entry.
• Strong organizational, communication, and customer service abilities.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate reservations for department vehicles and track usage.
• Check vehicles in/out, document mileage, fuel, cleanliness, and any issues.
• Prepare vehicles for use, fueling, cleaning, and safety checks.
• Drive department vehicles for fueling, maintenance, or inspections as needed.
• Maintain fleet records including mileage, maintenance, and usage.
