Job summary

Werner Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a logistics professional to strengthen driver relationships and support operations across the fleet.

You will collaborate with Dedicated and Associate Logistics Managers to balance loads, schedules, and driver availability while aligning with customer expectations and Werner’s service standards. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree or have 2–3 years of fleet/transportation experience, plus 6–12 months supervisory exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 2–3 years of fleet management/transportation experience preferred.
• Six months to one year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, proven management ability, and proficiency with computer terminals and satellite communications systems.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain driver relationships through understanding and meeting driver needs via home time, payroll, utility, equipment issues, and more using OS, driver telematics, and direct communication.
• Partner with Dedicated and Associate Logistics Managers to optimize driver loads based on origin, destination, freight type, miles, stops, and driver availability.
• Understand and adhere to customer dynamics, service expectations, goals, and Werner’s initiatives to improve value for the Customer and Werner.
• Interface with billing, vans, customer service, risk, safety, payroll, fuel, maintenance, and external vendors.
• Work with the Dedicated Logistics Manager and/or Operations Manager to maintain a full board of drivers.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Dedicated Logistics Manager.
• Timely and regular attendance according to the scheduled shift as determined by supervisory personnel.
