Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to perform repair and maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, braking, HVAC, suspension, and drive train.

Under supervision from a Lead Technician or Maintenance Manager, you will diagnose issues using electronic tools and safely return equipment to operation on site or on the road. The role requires 3–5 years of technician experience or recent graduation from an automotive college, valid

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi-system issues across heavy and light vehicles.
• Understand and apply work order labor time standards.
• Experience with maintenance on Classes 1-5 trucks, and heavy-duty 7-8 equipment or similar.
• ASE Certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.
• CDL is a plus but not required.
• Valid Driver’s License is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge and proficiency in vehicle components and systems for preventative and repair maintenance on-site or on the road.
• Repair chassis components and inspect/repair refuse bodies and braking systems.
• Handle light engine repair, suspension, drive train, steering, HVAC, and welding tasks.
• Identify malfunctions using electronic tools and perform road service to return equipment to operation.
• Complete company training programs and perform other duties as assigned.
