Job summary

SRM Concrete in Georgia is seeking Fleet Mechanics to service our mixer trucks, loaders, dump trucks, tankers and other heavy equipment, keeping the fleet safe and productive.

You’ll perform routine maintenance, diagnose issues, replace components, and collaborate with operations to minimize downtime while following safety policies. Entry-level applicants are welcome with on-the-job training; experienced diesel mechanics are encouraged to apply for growth within SRM's nationwide network.

Qualifications

• Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply with on-the-job training provided.
• Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy equipment technician is a plus.
• Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on trucks and heavy equipment.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and plan repairs.
• Rebuild or replace engine components, starters, and transmissions as needed.
• Coordinate with operations to schedule maintenance and reduce downtime.
• Adhere to safety policies in shop and on job sites.
• Keep accurate maintenance records in company systems.
• Stay updated on diesel tech trends and repair techniques.
