Job summary

SRM Concrete (Smyrna Ready Mix) is seeking a Fleet Mechanic to service mixer trucks, loaders, dump trucks and other heavy equipment. You’ll perform routine maintenance, diagnose electrical/hydraulic issues and schedule repairs with the operations team.

We value safety, accuracy and teamwork. Entry-level candidates are welcome with on‑the‑job training; CDL is a plus and pre-employment screenings apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; CDL preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification in diesel engine repair is a plus.
• Experience or training in diesel engines is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on heavy equipment.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and plan repairs.
• Collaborate with operations to schedule maintenance and minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
• Adhere to safety policies in workshop and on job sites.
