Job summary

SRM Concrete (Smyrna Ready Mix) is seeking Fleet Mechanics to maintain and repair diesel-powered mixer trucks and heavy equipment. You will perform routine service, diagnose complex issues, use specialized tools, and ensure safety standards on site and in the shop.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent, vocational/technical certification preferred.
Experience with diesel engines, electrical and hydraulic systems desirable.
Ability to read diagnostic data and perform repairs with appropriate tools.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and equipment.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on heavy equipment.
Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and determine repairs.
Rebuild or replace major components such as engines, starters, and transmissions.
Collaborate with operations to schedule maintenance and minimize downtime.
Maintain safety policies in shop and at job sites.
Keep accurate maintenance records in company systems.
Stay current on diesel technology through ongoing learning.
