Job summary

SRM Concrete (Smyrna Ready Mix) is seeking Fleet Mechanics to maintain and repair diesel-powered mixer trucks and heavy equipment. You will perform routine service, diagnose complex issues, use specialized tools, and ensure safety standards on site and in the shop.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, vocational/technical certification preferred.
• Experience with diesel engines, electrical and hydraulic systems desirable.
• Ability to read diagnostic data and perform repairs with appropriate tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on heavy equipment.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and determine repairs.
• Rebuild or replace major components such as engines, starters, and transmissions.
• Collaborate with operations to schedule maintenance and minimize downtime.
• Maintain safety policies in shop and at job sites.
• Keep accurate maintenance records in company systems.
• Stay current on diesel technology through ongoing learning.
