Job summary

SRM Concrete is seeking Fleet Mechanics to maintain a fleet of mixer trucks, loaders, dump trucks, tankers, and other heavy equipment. The role emphasizes safety, quality repairs, and teamwork, with on-the-job training available for entry-level candidates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational or technical diesel repair certification is a plus.
• Willingness to work variable shifts to support fleet operations.
• Experience with diesel engines and heavy equipment preferred.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and equipment (oil changes, lubrications, filter changes).
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in mixer trucks, loaders, dump trucks, tankers, and other heavy equipment.
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues and determine repairs.
• Rebuild, replace, or repair major components such as engine heads, blocks, starters, and transmissions.
• Collaborate with operations to schedule maintenance and minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures in workshop and on job sites.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs using company systems.
• Stay updated on diesel engine technology and repair techniques through ongoing learning.
