US Foods in St. Louis is seeking a Fleet Mechanic to keep our fleet safe and reliable. The role focuses on preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel tractors, trailers, and related equipment, with a tool allowance to support your trade.

Base pay ranges from $29 to $37 per hour, plus overtime and benefits from day one. You will document service using the fleet maintenance system, work with senior technicians, and adhere to DOT standards in a safety‑driven facility.

Qualifications

• 1 year of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy-duty diesel mechanic.
• Must furnish own personal hand tools.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards.
• Complete repairs on diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, bobtails, lift gates, etc.).
• Take directions from and assist senior technicians with repairs.
• Utilize fleet maintenance system tablet to document repairs and parts used.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with safety rules.
