US Foods in Columbia, SC is hiring a Diesel Technician to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on our fleet equipment. You will assist senior technicians, document repairs, and uphold safety standards in a maintenance facility.

Qualifications

• 1 year of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic.
• Must furnish own personal hand tools.
• Able to read and write legibly and perform basic math.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards.
• Complete all required repairs on diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, bobtails, lift gates, etc.).
• Take directions from and assist senior technicians with repairs.
• Document equipment repair and parts used in the fleet maintenance system.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow safety rules.
