Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. seeks a dedicated Maintenance Technician to keep our fleet in top condition. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and ensure repairs meet safety and regulatory standards.

You’ll work in a collaborative OD environment focused on reliability and service. Responsibilities include repairs, welding as needed, and maintaining documentation while adhering to DOT, EPA, ICC, and OSHA rules.

Qualifications

• Education: High School degree or equivalent.
• Experience: Maintenance technician or equivalent education.
• Experience with truck repair, body and frame repair.
• Must provide own tools to perform job duties.
• Ability to read instruments and perform diagnostics.
• Knowledge of DOT, EPA, ICC and OSHA rules.

Responsibilities

• Build, rebuild and repair all parts of company equipment as required.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical or other breakdowns on trucks or related equipment.
• Read precision instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, bore gauges, voltmeters and other diagnostic tools.
• Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis of components and systems on trucks or trailers.
• Weld when applicable to complete repairs and maintain components.
