Job summary

Republic Services in Dayton, OH seeks a Maintenance Technician B to diagnose and repair diesel and non-diesel equipment across chassis, bodies, braking, HVAC, and drive systems. You will perform on-site maintenance and occasional road service, using electronic tools to identify failures and complete required training.

Qualified candidates have 3–5 years of technician experience or automotive technical training, a valid license, and a willingness to work 3pm–midnight shifts with overtime as

Qualifications

Ability to diagnose multi-system issues with technical proficiency.
Understanding of work order labor time standards.
Experience or graduation from automotive college/technical school within 3 months.
Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative and repair maintenance on chassis, bodies, braking, HVAC, and drive systems on site or on the road.
Diagnose malfunctions using electronic tools; complete company training.
Safely provide road service to return equipment to operation.
Weld and fabricate as needed; assist with line maintenance.
Adhere to safety standards and company policies.
