Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician to provide timely repair and preventive maintenance for tractors, trailers, forklifts, and related equipment. You will diagnose, repair, and document work to ensure safe, efficient operation.

The role requires relevant ASE certifications, tool ownership, and may require a CDL A. Excellent teamwork and independent work ability are valued in a fast-paced, safety-focused shop environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Within 60 days of obtaining vehicle maintenance certificate or completion of FedEx Apprentice Program.
• One or more Medium/Heavy Truck ASE Certifications and Class A CDL preferred.
• Must possess necessary tools to perform tasks.
• Basic computer skills including maintenance programs and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Performs basic diagnostics to identify trouble sources and makes adjustments for safe operation.
• Works with other technicians on maintenance and repairs.
• Documents all maintenance in writing and electronically.
• Performs safety inspections and documents the work.
• Performs paint and body work on vehicles as required.
• Complies with laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Performs other duties as required.
