Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician in Williamsport, MD to provide timely, quality repairs and preventive maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and related equipment. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, document work, and comply with safety and regulatory standards.

Some positions offer tuition reimbursement and tool allowances. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, 1 year of vehicle maintenance experience or relevant certification, and ASE

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or GED) preferred.
• One year experience in vehicle maintenance or diploma/cert from vocational program or Apprentice Program with satisfactory performance.
• One or more Medium/Heavy Truck ASE Certifications and Class A CDL preferred.
• Must possess necessary tools to perform tasks.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Performs basic diagnostics to identify trouble sources and adjust equipment for safe operation.
• Collaborates with other technicians to perform maintenance and repairs.
• Ensures accurate documentation of all maintenance performed, both in writing and electronically.
• Performs safety inspections and documents work performed.
• Duties may include paint and body work on vehicles as required.
• Complies with laws, regulations, and company policies; performs other duties as required.
