Job summary

FedEx Freight in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Fleet Maintenance Technician to provide timely, quality repairs for tractors, trailers, forklifts, and related equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs, documenting work and ensuring safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• One year vehicle maintenance experience or related certificate/Apprentice Program completion.
• One or more Medium/Heavy Truck ASE Certifications and Class A CDL preferred.
• Must possess necessary tools to perform tasks.
• Valid driver’s license may be required depending on work assignment.
• Knowledge of testing equipment, gauges and diagnostic systems.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift components weighing up to 110 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Performs basic diagnostics to identify trouble and makes necessary adjustments.
• Works with other technicians in performing preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Documents maintenance in writing and electronically.
• Performs safety inspections of equipment and documents the work.
• Paint and body work on vehicles, as required.
• Comply with laws/regulations and company policies/procedures.
• Perform other duties as required.
