Job summary

Kimmel & Associates is seeking a Heavy Equipment Fleet Supervisor to lead maintenance operations for a diverse fleet of heavy construction equipment and commercial vehicles. You will manage shop productivity, safety, and cost control while ensuring high repair quality and uptime.

The role requires strong leadership, proven supervision experience, and the ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced construction environment. On-site position with active field collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in fleet supervision or heavy equipment maintenance leadership.
• Knowledge of heavy construction equipment and on-road vehicle maintenance.
• Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, NJDOT and related regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and maintenance/diagnostic software.
• Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily shop activities and set priorities for efficient workflow.
• Coordinate planned maintenance and urgent repairs to minimize downtime.
• Ensure technicians have tools, parts, and CMMS resources for repairs.
• Review work orders and document repair quality and history.
• Promote safety, accountability, and continuous improvement in the shop.
