Job summary

Republic Services in Memphis, TN is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to lead a shop of technicians responsible for preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel and alternative-fuel trucks, containers, and heavy equipment. You will plan and schedule work, ensure safety and compliance, and drive performance with coaching and inspections.

This role requires 3+ years in maintenance with heavy equipment and at least 1 year supervising, plus ASE certifications.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in maintenance working with heavy equipment.
• 1 year of supervisory experience in a lead technician role or management role.
• Knowledge of DOT, OSHA and federal/state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise technicians in the maintenance shop and lead daily huddles.
• Plan, schedule and monitor repair work to ensure safety and timeliness.
• Coach, counsel and train technicians and evaluate performance.
• Conduct inspections and quality control on repairs and outside work.
• Manage shop inventory and budget, approve expenses, and track costs.
• Maintain advanced knowledge of engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical and HVAC systems.
