Job summary

Kimmel & Associates Inc. seeks a hands-on Heavy Equipment Fleet Supervisor to lead maintenance operations for a diverse fleet of heavy equipment and commercial vehicles. You will ensure repair quality, safety compliance, and reliable uptime while driving efficiency and cost control.

The role requires coordinating with shop foremen and scheduling teams, managing priorities, and developing team capabilities in a fast-paced construction environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in fleet supervision or heavy equipment maintenance leadership.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and maintenance management or diagnostic software.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NJDOT and NJ compliance requirements.
• Strong leadership, organizational, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume shop.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily shop activities and establish priorities for efficient workflow.
• Coordinate planned maintenance and urgent repairs to minimize downtime.
• Ensure technicians have tools, parts and resources for repairs.
• Review work orders and document in CMMS.
• Investigate recurring failures and identify improvements.
• Monitor fleet performance and implement availability strategies.
• Collaborate with operations and scheduling to ensure equipment availability.
