Ryder System, Inc. is seeking an Operations Supervisor in Shreveport, LA. The role supports the Operations Manager, supervises a shift of technicians and service staff, and ensures alignment with safety, quality, and financial targets.

Strong cross-functional training is valued to back up teammates as needed. The ideal candidate will have heavy-duty truck or automotive repair shop experience, supervisory capabilities, and solid knowledge of shop operations.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma/GED required.
• Associate degree or 1–3 years in maintenance ops preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred or 1–3 years in maintenance ops preferred.
• Maintenance and Technical experience in a shop environment required.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Shop Management System experience preferred.
• Microsoft Office intermediate preferred.
• DOT Regulated.

Responsibilities

• Workflow Management: manage planning and scheduling, assign work to technicians, track productivity, lead shift meetings, and RO approvals.
• Labor Management: supervise and develop personnel, manage performance.
• Customer Management: maintain customer relationships, ensure vehicle uptime, communicate PM scheduling and updates.
• Asset Management: manage shop tooling, equipment, and parts inventory; monitor 65 standards.
• Quality Management: conduct quality inspections, root-cause analysis, implement corrective actions, ensure repair quality.
• Financial Management: control costs, manage payroll, POs, invoicing, and fuel reconciliation; support P&L objectives.
