Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Service Advisor to oversee daily fleet maintenance, liaise with drivers and operations, and ensure safety and efficiency across the shop. Qualifications

• Familiarity with repair manuals, wiring, diagnostics, and schematics.
• OSHA/DOT knowledge and safe work practices.
• Proficient in MS Office and computer use.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize, and solve problems.
• Good reading and spoken English for instructions and training.

Responsibilities

• Ensure work is performed safely and in compliance with regulations.
• Regularly update management on fleet and equipment status.
• Maintain quality and safety standards in maintenance activities.
• Coordinate maintenance safely and effectively.
• Balance downtime with operational needs and adjust workflow.
• Close maintenance orders and audit records for accuracy.
• Prepare paperwork promptly and accurately.
• Foster positive relations with customers and teams.
• Act as liaison between shop leadership, drivers, and operations.
• Answer inquiries, dispatch road calls, and coordinate repairs.
