Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance staff, oversee training and scheduling, and ensure safe, compliant operations for fleet services at our facility in Cincinnati. You will coordinate repairs, inspections, and maintenance planning with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with repair manuals, electrical wiring, and schematics to troubleshoot.
• Attention to detail and ability to track and maintain documentation.
• Computer skills; working knowledge of Windows applications, SAP a plus.
• Must be able to read and speak English well enough to communicate and follow safety training.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the maintenance staff, including training, scheduling work assignments, and overtime authorization, ensuring safe work in compliance with regulations and policies.
• Perform supervisory functions including employee reviews, attendance monitoring, and accountability of team members.
• Prioritize work to meet operations needs and ensure efficiency.
• Coach and mentor direct reports with proper use of SAP programming and assignment.
• Communicate status of fleet vehicles, containers, and equipment with management and operations.
