Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Service Advisor to oversee the daily workflow of fleet maintenance at our Cincinnati facility. The role coordinates with shop leadership, drivers, and vendors to ensure timely, safe repairs and high service levels.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of vehicle maintenance experience, familiarity with GPS/tracking and maintenance software, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication required.
• Familiarity with repair manuals, electrical wiring, diagnostics, and schematics.
• Knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and computer skills.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems.
• Must read and speak English well.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Regularly communicate status with management, operations, vendors, and others.
• Maintain quality and safety standards in the maintenance department.
• Coordinate and facilitate maintenance work and repairs.
• Review and close maintenance orders and audit maintenance records.
• Answer phone inquiries, dispatch road calls, and coordinate outside repairs.
