Job summary

Republic Services in Mississippi is seeking a Maintenance Lead Technician who will direct a team of technicians to ensure repairs and routine maintenance of diesel and non-diesel equipment meet safety standards and regulations.

The role covers chassis and refuse bodywork, diagnostics, coaching, inspections, scheduling, and mentoring, with a focus on safe, efficient, and timely operations within the shop.

Qualifications

• Experience inspecting and repairing heavy trucks with OSHA-aligned safety standards.
• Knowledge of chassis, hydraulics, electrical, steering, brakes and HVAC systems.
• Supervisory or lead technician experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Direct technicians to perform repairs safely and efficiently.
• Plan and schedule repair work to minimize downtime.
• Inspect third-party repairs for compliance and safety.
• Perform complex diagnoses and coach junior staff.
