Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician A in Mississippi to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel fleet equipment. You will handle chassis, refuse bodies, air brakes, engines, HVAC, suspension and drive train, with on-site and road work supported by state-of-the-art machinery.

A stable shift and growth path accompany competitive benefits. Ideal candidates have 5–7 years in heavy truck repair, strong diagnostics skills, and ASE certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
5–7 years of experience as a technician on heavy-duty trucks.
ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1-T8) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Maintains advanced knowledge of vehicle components and performs complex repairs on-site or on the road.
Repair and maintenance of chassis components and refuse bodies, including hydraulics and electronics.
Engine repair and diagnostics, including diesel fuel systems.
Diagnose electrical concerns with scan tools and perform line maintenance, welding and fabrication.
