Job summary

Wilkerson Crane Rental in Bonner Springs, KS is seeking a DOT Compliance Coordinator to develop and maintain the company's DOT/FMCSA program and lead deployment of telematics and ELD systems for the fleet. Travel to multiple locations is required.

You will serve as the subject matter expert for Samsara, coordinate audits, maintain the Accident Register, and ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations across all sites, with a focus on data accuracy, reporting, and training.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managing DOT/FMCSA compliance for a multi-location commercial fleet.
• FMCSA Parts 382, 383, 391, 395, and 396 knowledge.
• Hands-on administrative experience with a telematics/ELD platform (Samsara preferred).
• Experience preparing for FMCSA compliance reviews.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and make binding compliance determinations.
• Excellent cross-departmental communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead program implementation across the regulated fleet with vendor support for hardware installation.
• Serve as SME and primary Samsara platform administrator for ELD and DOT compliance.
• Develop rollout plans, timelines, and deployment tracking per unit.
• Create documentation, SOPs, and training materials for sustainability.
• Monitor DOT-FMCSA compliance and drive corrective action; maintain Accident Register.
• Coordinate post-crash investigations involving regulated drivers.
• Prepare compliance reporting and audit-ready documentation for leadership.
• Maintain Driver Qualification Files for regulated drivers.
• Prepare for FMCSA regulatory audits and maintain records.
