Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to service diesel and non-diesel trucks within a state-of-the-art fleet. Under supervision, you will repair chassis components, hydraulic and electrical systems, HVAC, and drive train to keep routes on schedule.

You'll perform basic tire work, road service when needed, and engage in ongoing training to handle new technologies while advancing along a defined career path with competitive wages and benefits.

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi-system issues with technical expertise.
• Basic understanding of labor time standards.
• Experience with Class 1-8 trucks or similar heavy equipment.
• ASE Certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.
• CDL is a plus but not required.
• 3-5 years of experience or recent graduate from automotive school.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair vehicle components and systems on-site and on the road.
• Repair chassis, refuse bodies, braking, steering, and HVAC systems.
• Perform line welding and fabrication tasks.
• Provide safe road service to return equipment to operation.
• Identify malfunctions using electronic tools and complete training.
• Adhere to company policies and participate in training programs.

ASE certifications
