Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks across a single fleet. You will work under supervision and support drivers in route efficiency, with ongoing training on new technologies and equipment.

The role covers chassis, refuse bodies, braking, engine, suspension, HVAC, and basic tire work as needed, with a focus on safety and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
• Experience with maintenance on heavy-duty trucks preferred.
• ASE Certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge and performs preventative and repair maintenance on trucks and refuse equipment.
• Repairs chassis, refuse bodies, braking systems, engines, suspensions, drive train and HVAC.
• Performs line welding and fabrication and provides safe road service when needed.
