Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to perform repair and maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis components, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical systems, air brakes, HVAC, and drive trains.

You will work on a single fleet with state-of-the-art equipment and support drivers on routes. Responsibilities include on-site and on-road maintenance, basic tire work, and safe operation.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues.
• Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
• Experience or training in maintenance on Class 1-8 vehicles or heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair vehicle components and systems on-site and on the road.
• Perform chassis, refuse body, braking, engine, HVAC, suspension, drivetrain, and steering maintenance.
• Safely provide on-call or road service as needed to return equipment to operation.
• Identify malfunction sources using diagnostic tools and complete company training.
• Adhere to safety standards and participate in continuous improvement training.

Education

Automotive ASE Certifications (T1-T8) preferably
