Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. seeks a Mechanic/Technician to maintain and repair our fleet of diesel tractors, trailers, forklifts and other equipment, using heavy equipment experience or diesel training to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs.

Starting pay is $30.70 per hour, with an additional $5.50 per hour for ASE Master Certification, a $1,000 annual tool reimbursement, tuition reimbursement for ASE certificates, and shift differential pay.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or GED), preferred.
• One year experience performing vehicle maintenance or equivalent certificate.
• ASE certifications and Class A CDL preferred.
• Must possess necessary tools to perform tasks.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Performs basic diagnostics and adjustments for safe operation.
• Documents maintenance in writing and electronically.
• Performs safety inspections and reports findings.
• Performs paint and body work as required.
• Works independently or as part of a team.
