Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a Mechanic/Technician to maintain a fleet of diesel tractors, trailers, and forklifts. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs with emphasis on safety and up-to-date documentation.

The role requires the ability to lift heavy components, operate manual/automatic transmissions, and work with ASE certifications or CDL preferred. Training and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• One year vehicle maintenance experience or near completion of related certificate program.
• One or more Medium/Heavy Truck ASE certifications and CDL preferred.
• Must have your own basic tools for the job.
• Valid driver's license may be required depending on assignment.
• Familiarity with diagnostic equipment and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts and more.
• Conduct basic diagnostics and adjust equipment for safe operation.
• Collaborate with other technicians on maintenance tasks.
• Document all maintenance work in written and electronic form.
• Perform safety inspections and maintain records.
• Assist with paint and body work as needed.
