Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a skilled Diesel/CNG Fleet Technician in Justin, TX. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain our diesel and CNG trucks under supervision from the maintenance leadership and senior mechanics.

The role requires inspecting critical systems and performing test drives to ensure roadworthy condition. Responsibilities include completing manuals, reports, and parts orders while staying compliant with safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of DOT/OSHA and related regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret safety, operating, and maintenance manuals.
• Experience using diagnostic software; computer literate and adaptable to systems.
• CDL Class A or B preferred or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
• ASE certifications preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of diesel/CNG maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel and CNG fleet under supervision.
• Inspect brakes, engines, emissions, steering, wheels to ensure operation.
• Test drive trucks to identify malfunctions and verify repairs.
• Perform electrical and hydraulic system diagnostics and repairs.
• Conduct DOT brake inspections and maintain compliance with safety rules.
• Complete reports, work orders, and parts orders; perform admin duties.
• Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
