Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a Mechanic A to diagnose and repair diesel and CNG trucks, perform DOT inspections, and coordinate maintenance activities at our Texas facility. You will mentor level B and C techs and ensure safety and compliance in all work performed.

Qualified candidates have 5+ years of diesel/CNG maintenance, brake and A/C system certifications, and strong diagnostic skills. CDL preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of diesel and CNG maintenance experience.
• Brake safety certificate and 609 A/C system certification.
• ASE certifications preferred; CDL license helpful.
• Ability to read schematics and use diagnostic software.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel and CNG powered trucks.
• Lead inspections of brakes, engines, emissions, steering.
• Mentor junior mechanics and coordinate repairs.
• Perform DOT and brake inspections and maintain safety compliance.
• Prepare reports, order parts, and manage administrative duties.
• Maintain a clean work area and assist in training.
