Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking an experienced diesel/CNG fleet maintenance technician to diagnose, repair and service our trucks. Under supervision, you will perform inspections, tests and electronic diagnostics while maintaining safety standards.

You will work with DOT/OSHA regulations, document work orders, and support continuous training to enhance skills. CDL preferred and ASE certs are a plus; 3+ years of relevant experience required.

Qualifications

• DOT/OSHA regulations knowledge
• Effective communication across organization & with customers/vendors
• Ability to read and interpret safety/operating manuals
• Experience with diagnostic software preferred
• CDL Class A or B preferred or willingness to obtain within 6 months
• ASE certifications preferred
• 3+ years of diesel/CNG maintenance experience

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain Diesel and CNG fleet under supervision
• Inspect brake systems, engines, emissions, steering, bearings for proper operation
• Test drive trucks to diagnose malfunctions and verify repairs
• Perform electronic diagnostics and repair electrical/hydraulic systems
• Conduct DOT and brake inspections on vehicles
• Complete reports and other admin duties as required
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
