Job summary

GFL is seeking an experienced diesel and CNG maintenance technician to diagnose, repair and maintain our fleet under the guidance of shop leadership. You will perform brake, engine, emission and hydraulic system inspections, conduct test drives, and complete reports, work orders and parts orders as required.

Applicants should have DOT/OSHA knowledge, be computer literate, and be willing to obtain a CDL if not already possessed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of DOT, OSHA and related regulations.
• Ability to communicate effectively across organization levels and with customers/vendors.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance manuals.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and maintain Diesel and CNG fleet under supervision.
• Complete basic inspections of brakes, engines, emissions, steering, bearings.
• Test drive trucks to diagnose malfunctions.
• Perform electronic diagnostics and repair electrical/hydraulic systems.
• Conduct DOT and brake inspections on all vehicles.
• Complete reports, work orders and parts orders daily.
• Perform work as scheduled by supervision or higher-grade technicians.
• Maintain safe working conditions and compliance with safety regulations.
