Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. seeks a skilled diesel/CNG Fleet Technician in Port Bolivar, TX. Under supervision from maintenance leadership and senior mechanics, diagnose, repair, and maintain our fleet, perform inspections, and test drive trucks to ensure safe operation.

This role requires knowledge of DOT/OSHA regulations, ability to read manuals, experience with diagnostic software, and a CDL (preferred) with willingness to obtain one within six months. ASE certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of diesel/CNG maintenance experience.
• Brake safety certificate and 609 A/C certification.
• CDL (Class A or B) preferred or willing to obtain within six months.
• ASE certifications preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety and maintenance manuals.
• Knowledge of DOT/OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and maintain Diesel and CNG fleet.
• Inspect brake systems, engine components, emission systems, steering, wheels.
• Test drive trucks to diagnose malfunctions and verify repairs.
• Perform electronic diagnostics and repair electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Conduct DOT and brake inspections on all vehicles.
• Complete reports, work orders and parts requests.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety regulations.
