Job summary

Sherman + Reilly, Inc. is seeking a Fleet Compliance Coordinator to own the fleet's compliance, telematics, and maintenance coordination across a distributed asset base.

This role is non-customer facing and requires strong collaboration with the Rental Coordinator and Service technicians. You will manage registrations, inspections, telematics installation, preventive maintenance scheduling, and field repair triage.

Qualifications

• Experience in fleet compliance, asset management, or heavy equipment maintenance coordination.
• Working knowledge of DOT and state inspection, titling, and registration requirements for commercial equipment across multiple states.
• Ability to schedule and coordinate preventative maintenance across a large, distributed fleet.
• Sound judgment for triage decisions—knowing when to pull equipment back versus repair it in the field.
• Comfortable working closely with Service technicians and coordinating their schedules.
• Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills; asset documentation must be complete and audit-ready.

Responsibilities

• Maintain MSOs, titles, registrations, and license plates for every unit across states.
• Own installation, administration, and exception reporting for the fleet's telematics and dash cam programs.
• Schedule preventive maintenance based on hours, mileage, and calendar intervals.
• Coordinate field repairs and triage decisions on dispatch, repair vs pull-back.
• Plan parts and consumables to stay ahead of PM needs.
• Maintain asset data integrity in the ERP/fleet management system.
• Coordinate with the Rental Coordinator as the operational counterpart.
