Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. is hiring a Fleet B Diesel Mechanic in Aston, PA, to perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles and equipment for Industrial Services sites.

The role involves on-site and on-road repairs, safety inspections, and compliance with DOT standards, with flexibility for on-call scheduling. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of diesel experience, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and CDL with tanker endorsement is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years hands-on experience as a diesel mechanic.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-stress environments.
• CDL with tanker endorsement preferred (A or B).
• Technical skills with diagnostic equipment are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs per maintenance orders.
• Inspect and adjust guards, bolts, and safety devices on trucks.
• Operate shop equipment and use tools as required.
• Change tires when needed and perform on-site/on-road repairs.
• Review Driver pre-trip and post-trip inspections and sign off on repairs.
• Comply with DOT regulations for on-road vehicles.
• Follow company policies and safety procedures.
