Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to perform maintenance and repairs on vehicles at Industrial Services sites. You will inspect equipment, operate shop tools, and carry out on-site and on-road repairs with safety and efficiency in mind.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of hands-on experience, a CDL with tanker endorsement preferred, and the ability to lift 75 pounds repeatedly. This role requires flexibility and adherence to company and DOT safety standards.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years hands-on Diesel Mechanic experience.
• Experience in a fast-paced work environment.
• Ability to lift 75 pounds repeatedly.
• CDL with tanker endorsement preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment background checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs per orders and standards.
• Inspect guards, bolts and safety devices; adjust as needed.
• Operate shop equipment such as grinders, jacks and diagnostic tools.
• Change tires as required.
• Complete on-site and on-road repairs as needed.
• Review and sign off on repairs.
• Comply with DOT regulations for on-road vehicles.
• Handle additional tasks as assigned by management.
