Job summary

Republic Services in Carnegie, PA is seeking a Diesel Mechanic B for 2nd shift to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment across chassis, refuse bodies, and control systems. You will perform routine diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and occasional road service to keep fleet operations efficient.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in a technician role, with diesel/gasoline knowledge, basic inspections, and a valid driver's license. CDL or ASE are a plus but not required.

Qualifications

3–5 years of technician experience in gasoline and diesel equipment.
ASE Certifications (T1–T8) are a plus but not required.
Commercial Driver’s License is a plus but not required.
Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive and repair maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment.
Repair chassis, refuse bodies, braking, engine, HVAC, suspension, drive train, and steering systems.
Provide road service when necessary to ensure equipment is operational.
Identify malfunctions using electronic tools and diagnostics.
Complete company training programs and duties as assigned.
