Job summary

The City of Fort Worth is seeking a Fleet Analyst to enhance our Fleet Division within the Property Management Department. You will build on an established analytics framework, integrating data-driven insights with operational knowledge to drive efficiency, reliability, and automation across fleets city-wide.

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Fleet, you will work with teams across service centers and administrative locations, traveling as needed to optimize fleet performance and cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• Three (3) years of research and analysis experience in vehicle cost management, replacement schedules, and performance benchmarking.
• Preferred: fleet operations experience, process improvement mindset, data integrity, Lean/Six Sigma familiarity, FMIS knowledge, CAFS/CAFM certifications.

Responsibilities

• Review fleet information system outputs and conduct cost studies (labor, maintenance, disposal).
• Lead development and implementation of standardized procedures for process mapping, system analysis and automation.
• Analyze equipment needs, total cost of ownership, fuel consumption, and market/labor metrics.
• Evaluate fleet utilization and recommend reassignments, replacements, or rentals for cost optimization.
• Collaborate across organizational levels to ensure data integrity and continuous improvement.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field
